Today I decided its time to share with you my favorite WordPress plugins that i use in all my wordpress installations. Some of them are helping generating traffic and others are getting my blogs to work perfectly.

Besides letting you know my top WP plugins, this list is to give all of the wordpress bloggers a comprehensive list of things they can use to help your blog grow.

This list is in no particular order, as all of them are important somehow.

1. Akismet - Akismet checks your comments against the Akismet web serivce to see if they look like spam or not. Comes in by default.
2. Add Meta Tags - Adds the Description and Keywords XHTML META tags to your blog’s front page and to each one of the posts, static pages and category archives. This operation is automatic, but the generated META tags can be fully customized. Also, the inclusion of other META tags, which do not need any computation, is possible.
3. All in One SEO Pack 1.2.1.4 Out-of-the-box SEO for your Wordpress blog.
4. FeedBurner FeedSmith - This plugin detects all ways to access your original WordPress feeds and redirects them to your FeedBurner feed so you can track every possible subscriber.
5. Related Posts - Returns a list of the related entries based on active/passive keyword matches.
6. Subscribe To Comments - Allows readers to recieve notifications of new comments that are posted to an entry.
7. Social Bookmark Creator - Add social bookmark links to your blog.
8. Google Sitemaps - This generator will create a Google compliant sitemap of your WordPress blog.
9. Adsense-Deluxe - Place Google AdSense ads in your WordPress Posts. If you want to monetize your blog i recomend using adsense. You can signup using the link in the sidebar.
10. Global Translator - Dynamically translates a blog by wrapping the Google Translation Engine.
11. No Ping Wait - Speeds up posting by moving generic pings to execute-pings.php.
12. OneClick Installer - Installs any plugin or theme without having to upload them manually via ftp. Can also delete theme and plugin folders.
13. SRG Clean Archives - This plugin is designed to display your archive listings in a clean and uniform fashion that’s Search Engine friendly on a dedicated page.
14. WP-ContactForm - WP Contact Form is a drop in form for users to contact you. It can be implemented on a page or a post.
15. Democracy - This poll plugin is easy to use, install, and manage. It uses AJAX to load data, making it quick and fun to use.
16. WordPress Database Backup - On-demand backup of your WordPress database.

Qoo Forum is a new online community, where people share their thoughts and experiences about almost anything. Some of the forums include Money, Investing & Business, Search Engines Forums and Web Design & Development, among many others.

What makes this forum different from all others is there ad revenue sharing program, where active members of this community are entitled to 50% of the revenue generated by clicks on Adsense ads on the threads they have started.

Even though the registration and participation on this community is free and open to everyone, to meet the requirements to participate on the revenue sharing program you must be a registered user and contributed a minimum 50 posts to the forum. Once you have reached that level, your ad code will be applied to all the threads started by you.

To start making money you need to have to be an Adsense publisher. If you have not yet signed up with Google AdSense, you are highly recommended to do so. You may use the link in the sidebar to do it. You’ll need to update your profile with your AdSense Publisher ID. Once you have updated your profile with the ID, everything will be automated. Therefore, the more threads you start, the more you will earn.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is one of the best tools available for web developers, because the free advertising afforded by the search engines is partly determined by on-page optimization techniques. With thousands of new websites being created daily, the competition for a listing on the first search result page is increasingly saturated for the popular keywords. Statistics show better than 90% of people only look at the first search result page, and a similar percentage only click on the top search listing.

In order to compete effectively, a Web page must be designed around a keyword or more effectively, a keyword phrase. The keywords must be included in the page’s title, keyword META tag, page’s description, the first heading (using the H1 HTML tag), throughout the body of the page and within the last 25 words on the page.

These are just a few of the basic SEO on-page options that, although will not guarantee a first page listing, are definitely required as a starting point in an effective Internet marketing strategy. In most cases, there is too much competition for certain keywords such as “golf clubs”. A better strategy would be to use “golf clubs Chicago” or handcrafted golf clubs”.

The more specific you make your keyword phrase the better. A number of free keyword tools are available that will show the popularity of keywords and how often they are used in the search engines on a monthly basis. These will allow you to customize your Web page knowing the keyword phrase’s popularity. If you get the first page listing for a keyword with less than 100 searches per month for instance, then it doesn’t matter because your traffíc will be very limited.

Smorty is a new blog advertising service, connecting advertisers with bloggers. In simple terms advertisers can pay a established amount for bloggers to write opinion posts about their services, with links back to the advertisers site.

How does it work?

Smorty is a bridge between bloggers and advertisers. Advertisers start campaigns and they deliver them to the right bloggers for publishing an opinion on their Blogs. As soon as there is a new available campaign for your blog(s) you will receive an email, describing the task and deadlines.

Your earnings are directly related to the number of valid opinions you post. Each post will bring you a minimum of US$6. This can be higher, if the Pagerank of your blog, along with a smorty score, determines whether you receive higher paid ad campaigns, bringing you up to even $100 per post.

Payments are made exclusively through PayPal, and bloggers get paid on a weekly basis.
